Some random Friday fun: For those of you interested in a good running book this list is awesome. Some of my favs are: If you are looking for something funny to watch and have Amazon Prime this: I thought it was very funny and loved the two main characters plus there are two seasons so perfect for binge watching on a lazy afternoon Onto the trail running wish list is this run in Southern California. Looks beautiful and there is a hot spring involved. Yes please. Thought this infographic was interesting and considering I have run double digits in both marathon and half marathon......that is a lot of money WORTH IT! And this dog who just puts himself in the shower when he decides its bath time. Things I am over. THE WIND. I feel like it has been super windy in El Paso for three weeks straight. Over it.

This album : Fair warning it is country, but the kind of country I love. You probably already know her by the mega hit Burning House but  her entire album is great. NFL Bad Lipreading Someone showed me this at work and I could not stop laughing. So funny. And I could really care less about football.....except the Broncos. GO BRONCOS! Olympics 2016 and all the inspirational videos coming out. Kara Goucher Ashley Higginson I am excited that I am running a marathon on the same weekend as the Olympic Trials. Not really sure why, it will take me twice the time (at least) as those women running at the trials and it is not like we are running the same marathon but I still think it is pretty cool.  Off this weekend for some trail fun and my last longish run with my training group. Happy Friday!! Some of my favorites from this week. I love that this bloodhound went out to pee and found herself coming in seventh place in a half marathon.  This women who is shaming male hypocrites on twitter . Hi pot, meet kettle. Chelsea Handler's new documentaries on Netflix Chelsea Does. There are four altogether, all about an hour long. One on drugs, one on marriage, one on technology and one on racism. The technology and racism episodes were particularly well done I thought, though they are all good. It helps if you like her sense of comedy and straight forward approach to things.  Always nice to be validated by children This candy....get some. It is amazing Travel books. A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson is one my all time favorites (thanks to the recommendation of travel writer Doug Mack whose awesome book can be found here ) so I finally got smart and decided to read some of his other travel books. Also found one on long term ...

Update on Neurology:  So the same day I put on my blog that I was being slowly driven insane by the neurology department D was finally able to get an appointment on this coming Monday....so that was kinda weird. Apparently I had to just put my crazy out into the universe..... and boom. Whatever works. Some favorites from this week: For anyone into Making A Murderer, Making a Murderer Hairstyles is for you! My most favorite song right now. It is just so catchy and happy. I may have EOG-(Early Onset Grumpiness) These dogs are best friends  and I love it The last loooonnnngggg run for marathon training is Sunday! I am coming for you 20 miles. Until then eat all the carbs and rest all the feet. 

I love french bulldogs . This french bulldog and baby best friend combo is just too much Jenny Simpson is amazing and she is headed off to Beijing for the World Championships and New Balance has put together a series about her preparation. Short and totally inspiring. The first two episodes are out! Episode 1 Episode 2   This song. Over and over again while doing the dreaded no-impact cardio And this one This bucket list...kinda want to do them all 10 Races In or Near National Parks The fact that I get new orthotics today that will hopefully help with my posterior tibial tendon issue!

I don't know if I have been living under a rock or what but I somehow missed this song by one of my favorites. So sassy, so fun. Love it. Miranda you lookin good girl! And what the heck is going on with Nick Jonas.. So damn catchy. Two of my new favorites on the ipod. Flowers, flowers everywhere! Made the trail run this morning amazing. I have to enjoy it while it last because in no time at all the trails will be a hot and dusty inferno. Cheap flowers at the grocery store were a nice pick me up. My new favorite shoes- Asics 33M. When I first put them on I was like eh. But after some miles they are the new favorites in the closet. At a 4mm drop they are a bit lower and I noticed after a ten mile day my Achilles were a bit tired so pay attention to that if you decide to try them. And some Friday funnies.... The daily struggle....tacos are winning. Happy Friday

Entered the lottery for this because sometimes you just gotta go for it. Seriously Kanye- Beck all the way.  My life working at a running store. I don't even know what normal clothes are anymore. Start doing this and I  will be able to do a hundred in two weeks. Best money spent in awhile. Hurts so good. This is why I can't get injured.....the crazy. It is hard to fight the crazy.
