I need a goal

I need a goal so I don't get lazy. After the next relay the schedule is looking a bit empty in terms of running races.  Plus I need more medals. I just don't have enough.... Plus having races on the calender keeps me motivated to get out there and train. So I am on the hunt. I know I want to do the El Paso Half for sure in February. Maybe a 15K involving chocolate and friends also in February. Perhaps the Bataan Memorial Death March in March. Maybe a turkey trot in November. There is a holiday 8K in December. I think my new goal is to try to get a new PR in the half marathon so a sub 1:59. I also want to get better at trail running or really just do more trail running. 2014 Race Schedule

So one of the not so great sides of being a military wife/significant other is the inability to plan anything really. D's training is constantly changing, at some point this year we will be moving to a different base and for a type A, control freak, must plan everything have two calenders type of person like myself this can be a bit difficult. So with all plans I throw in a this is tentative fine print clause and it has taken me awhile to work out the 2014 race calender of badass awesomeness. But one must plan and register and run all the races and after much deliberation I believe this is what I will be doing this year. Let's get our run on shall we. Feb 16th- Half Marathon and hopefully a meet up with one of my favs Yo Momma ! Race goals: Have fun, gain awesome medal, get pumped to race Albany March 1st- Marathon Race goals: Run ass off and finish in 4:20 or less aka BIG PR March 23rd- Marathon Race goals: Obtain fun peach medal, get a good distance w...

My House Threw Up

Things around here have been a little crazy. I have been offered and accepted a job in Illinois....which is in fact not in Arizona so that means moving cross country which equals full scale moving madness and a slight amount of panic. In the past two days we have packed up part of our house, held a yard sale, dropped stuffed off at goodwill and found stuff at the back of closets that we don't remember having. We might be a little bit excited for our new adventure, just a bit. Does anyone else notice how things must get super messy and out of control before they can get organized or is that just me being crazy? The house looks like it threw up or exploded or something but is slowly getting under control. Running stuff boxed up- Goodbye year supply of Nuun, see you in Illinois We haven't really figured out a place to live, or how exactly we are going to get all our stuff there or when exactly I am starting my new job. What I have figured out. FALL RACE SCHEDULE. You know ...
