I do what I want

Today after spending a lifetime and a half (okay 60 minutes) on the elliptical I decided that a trip to Target was in order. I have school work to do and class prep to get done, but ever since finishing my PhD exams I have been pretty lazy when it comes to responsibilities and all about just doing what I want to do. Eventually I will have to buckle down I guess but it is hard considering next week is Spring Break, it is 80 degrees out and I am currently the world's biggest slacker. Anyways Target. I love Target. I want to give Target all my money in exchange for trendy scarves and cute tote bags. But today I only got the essentials..... Toning bands to strengthen the hips and calves. Left leg you will get better. Baseball. I read an article in Runner's World that Sara Hall uses a baseball or a lacrosse ball to roll out her muscles. Supposedly works better than a tennis ball so I thought I would give it a try. She is an infinitely better runner than m...

oh bloggy blog world I have missed you this week. So many saved up words to share.... 1. I am done with the written component of my PhD exams today. Yipppeeeee. Fingers crossed it is not sucktastic. 2. I am finally getting over my cold. Yep that's right along with being tortured all week with academic ridiculousness my nose has been super special. Like a double kick in the face life. Not cool. 3. This week D has been cooking dinner. And it has been freakin delicious. It will be so sad when I start doing the version of what I call cooking again. Perhaps we can go halfsies during the week from now on. Greek Chicken with Asparagus Carmalized apples Flank steak with sweet potato fries and chimichurri sauce Soba noodles with beef Chicken tacos 4. My friend J dropped off mac and cheese with basil bread crumbs to sustain me this week. I ate it so fast that I didn't even get a picture. If I could marry her mac and cheese I would. 5. The time has come....

for my PhD exams. So I will be thinking grand thoughts and writing magical answers this week about public policy and international relations (fingers crossed that is what I am doing instead of thinking little thoughts and writing crappy answers). Currently wishing I had one of these... Game on!
