Just Plodding Along

This year has been pretty amazing!!! I am pretty lucky to have such great friends and family. Thanks to everyone who was a part of my amazing 2014! Mercedes Half- Adventures Alabama style. Learn I can run fast even on tired marathon training legs. Also learned that Nicole is awesome...no wait I already knew that.  Tried for 4:20 finish and got a 4:28. Still a PR! Got to run with Buddy who helped me keep going when times got rough and got to see the amazing Dana and Patrice finish their first marathon. Still believe I can get faster at the marathon- excited for 2015 and PR attempts. Got to run a pretty course with two of my favorite running buddies, Nicole and Kelcey. With the new year coming up it is always fun to look back on what has happened the past 365 days. This year has had its ups and downs but overall it has been a great year! We got to live close to the Windy City and explore much of what it has to offer. Chicago is a fun place and I am glad we got to live near there and have some adventures there. The same goes for Milwaukee. If you ever get the chance to visit either I recommend it. I got into the Chicago marathon. A happy 30th birthday present to myself. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our dog Nellie.   I ran several half marathons in pursuit of my goal of running 30 halves before turning 30.  I ran the Wisconsin Marathon.  Followed shortly by the Chicagoland Spring Marathon, followed shortly with an Achilles injury that stopped me from running for six weeks.
