All the races

Things got a little out of hand this weekend. I registered for

It is the day after my last twenty miler in my marathon training, actually I think it is a twenty two miler. So I am not expecting any speedy awesomeness at this distance but I have never done an 8K before so that is exciting. It is a huge race and an awesome course so I can't wait! Plus packet pick-up is at Navy Pier which I have yet to visit so I am excited to head down there for the expo.

I locked this one down. Also on the day of a twenty miler. Going to figure out a seven miler warm-up. On the bright side I will have to be there super early so hopefully that will mean awesome parking spot.

And drum roll please, my final half marathon on my quest of thirty before thirty will be
It is around Highland Park and looks really fun except for rumor of a giant hill towards the end. Now that is just cruel. I am so excited to have a plan to finish out my goal.

I will also be registering for this half
as number 29. But I had to give my credit card a break. This half is two weeks after the Wisconsin marathon so I am hoping I have recovered enough to give it a go with racing in mind.

YAY RACING!!!!

  1. Your 30 under 30 is really inspiring! Is it only halfs or all races? I think I might try to accomplish this too! I just turned 27 and have completed 6 with at least 4 on this years schedule I might need to add a few more!

    1. They are all halfs but some other distances keep sneaking in too! You should totally go for it if you like racing. It is really fun.

  2. For a minute I thought you had already registered for Chicago because the logos are identical! Minus the shamrock. This is super lame of me, but now that I qualified for B-town today, I think I'm out for Chicago. My husband is really tired of running this month with all of my races.:)

On the Chicago architectural tour we did, the docent told us about the free stained glass museum at Navy Pier. Have you heard of that? If you go inside the building, there's gorgeous stained glass throughout the halls. You've probably heard of it, but just in case you haven't, I thought I'd mention it. Bonus, it's free!

And I can't believe you'll have done 30 half marathons. That is just an amazingly large number!

    1. I hear you- qualifying for Boston is such a huge deal. You deserve some stress free time. My hubby had a break the last few months but now it is game on. I will have to check out the stained glass museum- I do love free.

  3. It sounds like you have a busy spring planned! I'm running the Shamrock Shuffle, too, and I'm really looking forward to it--I think it will be a great race. Have a great week!

    2. Haha, sounds good to me! I looked up the Chi Town half and am kinda tempted to run it since I have a 20 miler scheduled that day and I could just run 7 before the race, which I've done before. But, I need to try to keep my race registration fees in check. If only I had more money. :)

  5. We will need to meet up at one of these races!

I'm doing shamrock, will probably do ChiTown, and also will run the Chicago marathon. :)

Your photos are beautiful! I'm thankful there's no snow on the ground here.

    1. It would be awesome to meet up! I love meeting fellow runners and nerding out. I might have to hit you up for some help in finding an area for some pre-race miles for ChiTown. I am so ready for no snow so I can get back to running on trails and off the roads.
