I don't like them because they insist on intervals or Yasso 800s and (maybe ignorantly) I can't see how sprinting short distances can make me run half marathons faster!! I may be wrong. Maybe I'm just too lazy. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6298661770133764327.post-74665989895118723932013-06-09T04:37:27.309-07:002013-06-09T04:37:27.309-07:00Great tips. For beginners, it's probably best to stick to a basic plan and not jump into something like the Hansons Method or even a hardcore 5K training program when you have no idea what your body can take. I find reading blogs really helpful to get an idea of what different training plans are like--love when people share which plan they're following. :) Good luck with your high altitude run!Beth @ Running with the Sunrisehttp://www.runningwiththesunrise.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6298661770133764327.post-46542623631617637012013-06-08T11:49:43.253-07:002013-06-08T11:49:43.253-07:00I'd also add, be realistic and respect running...I'd also add, be realistic and respect running. If you are only running casually, have reasonable goals and focus on not getting injured or maybe building a base before marathon training!

Are you switching some days around? I thought I counted 18 weeks starting next week! I'm switching Wednesday rest day to Thursday, do recovery run Wednesday instead, and an SOS run Friday. We should do week group recaps of our hanson training!

I picked the Hanson plan for a couple reasons:
I love to run, a lot, almost every day. Check Hanson.
Great online reviews and focus on fatigue running, rather than draining your body with the 20 mile runes.
Is says renegade on the title! lolAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15169678747506683909noreply@blogger.com
